We are pleased to welcome Professor Yarik Kryvoi to the firm’s commercial and investor-state international arbitration team in an “Of Counsel” role. Yarik will work with our team supporting clients involved in significant international arbitrations, whilst continuing his academic work at the British Institute of Comparative Law where he is the Forum Director of the Investment Treaty Forum.

After obtaining an LLM degree at Harvard, Yarik spent his early career at the Washington office of a white-shoe law firm and in the London office of a Magic Circle firm before starting his career in academia, where he also developed a consultancy practice advising states and NGOs on matters of international law.

Yarik will work closely with the partners as well as with Srishti Jain, the lead Managing Associate in Keidan Harrison’s commercial and investor state arbitration team.

Commenting on the appointment co-founding Partner Luke Harrison commented:-

We are pleased to have someone of Yarik’s calibre and market standing join the firm to support the development of our commercial and investor-state international arbitration practice. Yarik’s continued work in academia affords clients access to an uncommon depth of expertise, which complements our existing client offering.

Yarik will have the opportunity to act as Counsel for parties in commercial and investor-state arbitrations, with the ability to offer competitive rates and, as Keidan Harrison is a specialist disputes practice, without being unduly shackled by conflicts of interest.”
